THRIVE update
23.01.2026SparksThe THRIVE project, funded by the Creative Europe programme, connects cultural heritage, creativity, and digital innovation to help revitalise rural areas. Its main goal is to preserve and promote local traditions, skills, crafts, and gastronomy, while enhancing them with digital tools that keep intangible cultural heritage alive and relevant for future generations. Through training, workshops, and pilot activities in Bergamo, Italy, the project fosters sustainable development, strengthens local communities, creates new opportunities for jobs and entrepreneurship, and promotes cultural tourism.
As the project’s technology partner, ARCTUR brings expertise in 3D technologies, digital platforms, and data systems. It helps document, manage, and present cultural heritage in innovative ways, making local stories and traditions more visible, interactive, and accessible for use in tourism, education, and community development.
In May, the project will host an Academy in Bergamo, where local talents will explore technologies that can support the preservation of intangible cultural heritage and learn practical approaches to digitisation and digital transformation. The Academy will be led by ARCTUR.
By bringing together culture and technology, THRIVE aims to support the sustainable revitalisation of rural Europe and contribute to its long-term digital transformation.
